Refugee Sponsorship Program

Good News!!!  The Donway Covenant United Church is proud to say we have raised more than $36,000.00 to bring two young (20's) Somalian refugees to Canada to join family here that live in Don Mills.   This amount is needed for one year's living expenses...housing, food, transportation, and clothing.  Once here, family members will be a great assistance in helping them settle into life in Canada

We have made a formal application for refugee sponsorship through the United Church of Canada to the Govt. of Canada, for 2 Somalian refugees who will join family members here in Toronto.

We continue to accept funds to as we await our application to be processed and plan support for when our refugee sponsors arrive in Canada. If you can help us, please mail or drop off a cheque to the church office or donate online using CanadaHelps. Choose Refugee Sponsorship Project from the drop down menu.
