We will follow Jesus...
Sue Lynn Chong retired from a corporate career and is now teaching Yoga part-time. She joined the DCUC Memoir Writing program in 2019. Sue Lynn had no idea the minister was facilitating the program. Sue Lyn found our minister and others were so interesting and welcoming that she gradually got more involved at DCUC. Blind Spots and Eye-Openers is a article Sue Lynn wrote for one of our Wee voice weekly additions about her experiences at DCUC.
We are blessed by the staff; Minister Rev. Lorrie Daly-Price, Emily McLean (Church Administrator / Property Manager), and our custodian Kim Morgan. This team work together to help us fulfill our Mission and Vision.
Approximately fifty volunteers serve on the church Council and its various committees. Other members and adherents volunteer regularly to maintain the buildings and the landscaping, prepare the sanctuary for worship, act as ushers, greeters and coffee hosts, and support events such as funeral receptions and the annual Fall Sale.

Not at all. We welcome people of all denominations and faiths! The United Church has a history of inclusivity and you will feel right at home with your questions, doubts and individuality.
As many different types of people as you can imagine. There's a place for singles, couples and families as well as youth to seniors. We welcome people of diverse faith, ethnicities, ages and stages of life, physical and mental abilities, economic situations, sexual orientation and gender identiies. Our sermons are thought-provoking, our music inspiring and hospitality welcoming. Both newcomers and regular parishioners often come on their own. After the Sunday morning service we enjoy fair trade tea and coffee in the auditorium, so please join us and you'll get to know others in no time.
Always! Your children are welcome to stay with you in the sanctuary (where the service takes place) or join the our Sunday School Coordinator for music and stories in the Christian Education building beside the sanctuary.
Many people prefer to conduct important family events like weddings in a church. You don't need to be a member, but you will need to speak with one of our staff to discuss your plans and make sure we are the right location for you.
The Donway Covenant would be honoured to be part of your wedding or other important family events such as a baptism or a funeral for a loved one. Whatever your need, the best way to begin the process is by contacting our office at 416-444-8444 or Click here to email
Yes. the Donway Covenant has easy-access entrance to all our buildings.
We do rent space to various groups, organizations and businesses. That makes the Donway Covenant a busy place almost every day and night throughout the week. There is limited space and time slots available. Contact our church administrator (Click here to email) or call 416-444-8444 for more details.
We depend on our church family for financial support for the bulk of our expenses. Some people use weekly or monthly envelopes, others our convenient Pre-Authorized Remittance (PAR) Program. The money collected is used to cover our annual operating costs, building maintenance and renovations, and the various outreach projects we undertake each year.
We also receive rent from the various tenants renting our facilities. We hold an annual fund-raising event each fall which draws people from far and wide. Community members, friends and relatives can also donate funds to the church at any time.
